Position: Social Media Manager
FOM is seeking a dynamic Social Media Manager to enhance our digital presence and drive brand engagement across social platforms. In this role, you'll develop and execute content strategies, manage influencer partnerships, and oversee community management. Collaborating with our Senior Content Specialist and Marketing Coordinator, you’ll create compelling content and innovative campaigns while monitoring performance and ensuring effective crisis communication. What will you be responsible for?
• Social Media Strategy: Create strategies to enhance engagement, audience growth, and brand awareness across social media platforms.
• Optimize Social Platform Presence: Tailor FOM's digital content to maximize impact on each social media community.
• Content Creation: Collaborate with the Sr. Content Specialist to produce engaging multimedia content using various resources.
• Copywriting: Exhibit strong skills in writing and editing copy for social media.
• Social Media Leadership: Oversee the entire implementation of social content using both internal and external resources.
• Campaign Management: Handle the complete process of social media campaigns, including research and execution.
• Crisis Communication: Manage social media responses during crises and deploy FAQ information.
• Campaign Planning + Execution: Develop and execute social campaigns to boost awareness and engagement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Sr. Content Specialist on content strategies and the Marketing Coordinator on influencer integration.
• Influencer & Affiliate Management: Identify and collaborate with influencers, managing affiliate programs to enhance brand promotion and revenue.
• Innovation: Leverage trends and cultural moments to enhance FOM's brand influence.
• Effectiveness Reporting: Regularly monitor and report on social media performance to improve strategies.
• Paid Media: Manage social media advertising and budgets, coordinating with the Senior Ecommerce Coordinator.
• Customer Service: Collaborate with the Customer Service team for excellent community management and inquiries.
• Community Management: Engage daily with the online community, fostering conversations alongside the Customer Service team.
• Agency Partners/Suppliers: Manage relationships with all social media agency partners and suppliers.

What you bring
• A Degree or Diploma in digital marketing, communications, PR, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in a similar social media role.
• Social Expert: Extensive experience in social marketing.
• Trend Watcher: Spot trends early, staying ahead with top creator accounts in South Africa and globally.
• Bold: Willing to propose and execute innovative ideas.
• Content Visionary: Skilled in collaborating with tools, creators, and teams to produce exceptional content.
• Insights Driven: Naturally measures and monitors the effectiveness of campaigns and content.
• Passionate: Energized by engaging social content and successful creators and brands.
• Eagle Eye: Thorough in conceptualizing and creating content, leaving no detail overlooked.
• Proficient with major social media platforms and tools, including AI and ChatGPT.
• Experienced with social media management and reporting tools.
• Requires agency and/or retail marketing experience.
• Proven track record in social media management.
• Experienced in content creation.
• Graphic design experience is an advantage.
• Applies market and business insights to drive organizational objectives.
• Communicates information and ideas clearly and concisely.
• Understands and meets customer needs and expectations.
• Makes timely, informed, and well-rounded decisions.
• Simplifies complex information to resolve organizational problems.
